Directions

By Car - from the East

When approaching from the east, i.e. from the ferry ports, you should proceed along the M20 until Junction 3 at which point you should join the M26, staying on it for a short distance only until Junction 2a, where you should take the exit for the A25. Note: it is essential to take this exit, because there is none from this direction at the M25's Junction 5 which, from the map, looks the more obvious one. Follow the A25 through Borough Green and Seal, continue through the traffic lights at the north of Sevenoaks and, after a further ¾ mile, look for a turning on the left, opposite a bus shelter, into Robyns Way. (If you come to a railway bridge, you have gone about 400 yards too far.) Go down Robyns Way for around 400 yards, No. 40 is on the right, on a righthand bend, opposite the junction with LakeView Road.

By Car - from the North

If you are approaching from the north, i.e. the Dartford Crossing, or the west, i.e. Gatwick and Heathrow airports, take the M25, leaving it at Junction 5. This will take you onto the A21, heading south. After about ¾ mile, look for the turning on the left for Riverhead and Sevenoaks. Take this, and you will find yourself on the A25. Follow this and, after around 1 mile you will be in Riverhead. Stay on the A25. That means follow the road to the left around the first mini-roundabout then, almost immediately, to the right around the second one. You pass under a railway bridge. Keep on the A25. After about 400 yards you will see, opposite a bus shelter, a right turn into Robyns Way. Go down Robyns Way for around 400 yards. No 40 is on the right, on a righthand bend, opposite the junction with LakeView Road.

By Car - from the South

Should you be travelling from the south, i.e. Tunbridge Wells, follow the A21 Sevenoaks bypass until it meets the intersection with the A25. Take the exit there for Sevenoaks and proceed along the A25 until, after around 1 mile, you are in Riverhead. No. 40 is on the right, on a righthand bend, opposite the junction with LakeView Road.

Train

If you arrive by train, come out of the station and cross the road. Turn into Hitchen Hatch Lane, just opposite the station. A large new office block (British Telecom) will be on your left. After 100 yards, turn left into Bradbourne Park Road. This goes downhill and bends round to the right. After 300 yards, take a left turn into Bosville Road, under a railway bridge and then turn right into Lambarde Road. Follow Lambarde Road along for about 300 yards. Then at the brow of the hill, turn left into LakeView Road. After 100 yards, LakeView Road meets Robyns Way. Our house, No. 40 is opposite that junction, behind a high hedge.
